We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a well-regarded Secondary School in West Bromwich from January until Easter. This Ofsted-rated GOOD school is known for its supportive environment, excellent resources, and commitment to high-quality education. The role involves teaching History up to Key Stage 4, with minimal planning required due to the school's well-established resources, as well as occasional cover for other humanities subjects.


As a History Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons in History following the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Planning and preparing lessons (minimal due to excellent resources provided).
  • Marking and assessing students' work, providing constructive feedback.
  • Supporting the school in covering additional humanities lessons when required.
  • Maintaining excellent behaviour management within the classroom.
  • Fostering a safe and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) with strong subject knowledge in History.
  • Proven ability to teach History up to Key Stage 4.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality lessons and adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude with a passion for education.
