Role & Client Overview:
We are seeking a Vocational Tutor to deliver Business Administration and Customer Service qualifications at Level 1 and Level 2. The role is focused on providing learners with the skills and knowledge they need to progress into employment or further education.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training, assessing learner progress, and embedding Functional Skills English and Maths into your sessions. This role is key to helping young people and adults develop the confidence and competence to succeed in their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver engaging and effective vocational training sessions for Business Administration and Customer Service.
- Plan and prepare individual learning plans and ensure lesson plans are linked to curriculum objectives.
- Embed Functional Skills English and Maths into vocational sessions.
- Assess learner work and ensure timely submission for Internal Quality Assurance (IQA).
- Observe learners in their work placements, ensuring they meet qualification criteria.
- Ensure learners have access to employability and personal skills training.
- Provide individual academic and pastoral support to learners as needed.
- Manage learner behaviour in both physical and virtual classroom settings.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Education Inspection Framework (EIF 2019) and relevant professional standards.
- Maintain accurate learner progress records and support progress reviews.
- Work towards company KPIs and individual performance targets.
- Ensure the safeguarding of learners by implementing and adhering to company safeguarding policies.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all training delivery.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed and understood by learners.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential:
- Occupational competence in Business Administration/Customer Service.
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a 14-19 provision.
- Experience of supporting learners with additional needs (e.g., learning difficulties, behavioural challenges).
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET).
- Assessing qualification (TAQA, A1, or equivalent).
- Level 2 Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
- Full Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent).
- IAG Qualification (Information, Advice, and Guidance).
- Current First Aid Certificate.
