Job Title: Maintenance engineer            Â

My client, a leading company in the injection moulding industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join their team on the day shift you will be working Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment where you will be crucial in ensuring optimal machinery performance and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities – Maintenance engineer
- Quickly remedy plant faults and defects to ensure machinery remains in serviceable order.
- Proactively identify root causes of issues and suggest areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all work follows Engineering procedures, including LOTOTO and the Permit System.
- Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on all electrical and mechanical plant, following site task schedules and asset lists.
- Report any critical equipment issues to Engineering management immediately to avoid downtime.
- Complete all required paperwork and maintain accurate computerized records.
- Follow all work instructions and ensure full compliance with company procedures.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while carrying out duties.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks within your capabilities to support the team.
Qualifications & Requirements – Maintenance Engineer
- Electrical and mechanical engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing or injection moulding environment.
- Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering or relevant qualification.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience with assembly and moulding equipment (desired).
- IEE 17th or 18th Edition certification (preferred).
- PLC experience (preferred).
- Air and pneumatics training (desired).
- Strong knowledge of HSE processes and standards
