About the Role
Relyon automotive (Essex) LTD is a busy fleet assistance and vehicle repair company repairing and maintaining fleets of emergency and non emergency ambulance vehicles
We are looking for a qualified mechanic to service, maintain and perform repairs on PTS/Emergency Ambulances and van fleet vehicles.
We have 2 positions available
1: Workshop based and may involve travel to and from different sites for breakdowns.
2: Onsite service technician carrying out servicing and repairs at customers premises
Main Responsibilities
- Primary duties are the repair and maintenance of emergency and non-emergency vehicles
- Carry out and evaluate preventive maintenance schedules
- Conduct repairs on the brake, engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, air suspension systems, exhaust, axle assemblies, and related systems on all types of equipment
Essential Criteria
- Comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicles and previous experience in a similar environment. City & Guilds Automotive or equivalent
- Have a full UK manual driving license with no more than 3 points
- Over 25
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task whilst under pressure
- Proven ability to be flexible within an environment
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Previous responsibility for the maintenance of a large, varied fleet.
