TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is representing an excellent firm of accountants based in West Malling, Kent who are looking for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team.

Our client is a well-established practice who services a wide range of clients across Kent, Sussex, London and the South-East. They have a broad range of clients from startup businesses through to significantly sized groups. They provide a range of services from bookkeeping, VAT and payroll through to tax, accounts and advisory services.

They're looking for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team based in West Malling, Kent where you will report into the Partner and be responsible for a mixture of accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT work.

You will also help a couple of junior members of the team through reviewing their work and helping them with their development. For those looking for progression, there are excellent progression prospects on offer and a clear route to progress to Director in the future, should you wish.

  • Reviewing and preparing year end accounts for sole trader, ltd companies and LLPs.
  • Reviewing and preparing management accounts and assisting the Partner with presenting them to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and preparing corporate tax and personal tax returns.
  • Dealing with more complex matters relating to CIS and VAT.
  • Supporting the Partners with ad-hoc project work and assisting with basic tax planning.
Requirements
  • You will be ACCA or ACA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Experience of Xero, Sage and or QuickBooks would be advantageous.
  • You will have at least 5+ years experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • Based in Kent- commutable from Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Medway, Rochester, Chatham etc.
  • You must be able to drive
