Do you have a strong balance of compliance and advisory experience?Seeking to join a small, friendly chartered accountancy practice working with high net worth clients and offering excellent prospects?We have an outstanding new position within this high performing team for a committed Personal Tax Manager to take ownership of tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of approximately 200 clients.Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance & Advisory: Plan and oversee the preparation of all personal tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Provide a high level of service and proactive tax advice to a diverse client base.
  • Planning & Strategy: Identify tax planning opportunities to maximise client benefits.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate support staff, ensuring high-quality work.
  • Process & Workflow Management: Lead weekly planning meetings, monitor workloads, and improve internal processes.
  • Technical Expertise: Research complex tax issues, liaise with professional bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CTA), and keep up to date with tax regulations.
  • Business Development: Prepare and present tax planning proposals, advice letters, and client reports.
  • Thought Leadership: Write monthly articles for the website and social media, contributing to the firm’s growth.
  • Training & Development: Support and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Financial Accountability: Monitor performance against budget and ensure client fees align with profitability goals.
