Sonic Summary

The role of a QC involves maintaining documentation related to shelf life and condition tests, as well as calibrating QA equipment in rotation with other team members.
Candidates are responsible for conducting inload and outload checks against customer specifications, labeling pallets accordingly, and performing stock checks.
The position requires travel to other cold storage sites and liaison with the packhouse as needed, along with following up on depot rejections and checking labels against customer specifications.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role is required, with an expected salary of $45,000 per year.
The role may require weekend work according to an agreed rota and entails responsibilities related to food safety and quality issues.

The Role of a QC:

Maintain shelf life and condition test documentation when required
Calibrate QA equipment in rotation with other QA.
Inform your Line Manager if any sundries are required.
Carry out documented inload checks to the recommended level against customer specifications. Label and date pallets according to the outcome.
Carry out documented outload checks to the recommended level (every pallet checked - the number of cases per pallet is dependent on product) against customer specifications. Label pallets according to the outcome.
Carry out documented stock checks to the recommended level (every pallet checked - the number of cases per pallet is dependent on product) against customer
specifications. Label pallets according to the outcome, and inform your Line Manager (TD)
Travel as necessary to other cold storage sites to inload, prepare samples or outload product.
Packhouse liaison as required.
Follow up on depot rejections.
Check labels when required against 'customer label forms and specs' and complete sign off.
Clean up as you go regarding pallet straps and corner boards removed during inspection.
Prepare samples to required standard as requested.
Clean QA room as required.
Attend training courses as required.
Inform Tech Director of the outcome of inload, outloads and stock checks, or Job category changes in packhouse.
Inform Tech Director of any potential Food Safety or Quality issues, and unknown personnel on site.
Update prophet with status and dates as required of arrival, stock, checks, status change.
Order of Use/stock rotation
Expected to work weekends as per agreed Rota.
Checking store temps.
