Pensions Administrator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pensions Administrator/ Secretary to Trustees, to join our friendly team in Kings Hill, Kent. The role is part time, working 3 days per week.

Key duties include:

  • Manage the site Quality Management system
  • To act as secretary to the pension fund trustees to ensure the effective governance and operation of the board.
  • Attend meetings as the secretary to the trustees, present internal papers and draft meeting minutes.
  • Drafting the Trustees’ annual Report and assisting with the preparation of the annual financial statements. Liaising with the scheme auditors.
  • Assist in producing the annual asset and cash flow statement.
  • Assist with any special projects or exercises relating to the management of the scheme (e.g. the actuarial valuation, corporate activity, Employer covenant and scheme investment reviews).
  • General day to day administration of the scheme and its service providers. Handling all enquires, correspondence and member communications. Liaising with the Scheme’s outsourced pension administrators.

The ideal candidate will hold the following essential criteria:

  • Significant experience in a hands-on pension’s function, with a thorough understanding of scheme styles, the regulatory environment in which they operate and impact on a business.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills, able to work to deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with senior management, staff and external contacts.
  • Numerate and computer literate; good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Salary:£27,000 (FTE£45,000)

Please note there will be a requirement to work 1 day a month at our Essex office. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
