Machine Setter High Wycombe, Bucks
BlueGate has partnered with a busy High Wycombe manufacturing company looking to recruit a Machine Setter / Mechanic.
Reporting to the Production Manager the Machine Setter will be setting and maintaining packing machines/lines for specific tasks and maximum efficiency against stated target output, working on multiple lines and products, where no two days are the same.
This role is for a self-motivated and driven individual capable of working on his/her initiative with minimal supervision. The Machine Setter is responsible for ensuring the smooth and speedy transition of orders and maintaining an accurate product and quality before and after the machine and product are set and confirmed.
Job Requirements:
- Complete tool changes and set-up on time.
- Optimise cycle speeds ensuring quality specification is achieved.
- Diagnose and correct running faults promptly.
- Maintenance and general upkeep of the machines.
- Assist the QC/QA Team in identifying issues and suggest corrective actions.
Qualifications/experience required to fulfill this position:
- Relevant City and Guilds or, a mechanical aptitude, or relevant engineering experience.
- Machine setting
- Machine repairs
- Quality inspection
- Ability to work on time, to completion, and working to deadlines
- Experience in working towards targets / KPIs.
