Well-known for creating finely detailed commercial furniture for the workplace, our client is currently seeking a Product Designer to work on a variety of prestigious and challenging projects as part of their internal design team. The role will require close communication with the client, design and production team so you will be working mainly in the office with the occasional need to travel for site surveys.
The successful applicant will be responsible for taking ownership of projects working from concept drawings and renders through to elevations, GAs and production ready drawings for the workshop and CNC machines. You will also be helping to refine value engineering and new solutions to the drawing and production process.
Skills and experience needed for the Product & Furniture Designer:
- At least 2 years experience from the furniture manufacturing sector
- Strong drawing and technical detailing skills
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- SolidWorks fluency is essential
- Organised, happy to liaise with the customer
Salary will be in the region of £35k to £42k, depending on experience and ability plus a contributory pension, bonus scheme paid quarterly, standard holidays and cycle to work scheme.
