Long - Term teachers are working with a specialist schools in Westbury, that support students in key Stage 3 and 4, all of which have SEMH and trauma needs. The dedicated team use a holistic approach the education, focusing on emotional and social development. It is paramount that the teachers and support staff are making a positive difference to the lives of children who can be educationally overlooked.
About you
- Must have experience working with children
- Have knowledge of SEN
- Have a passion for a career working within education
- Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT proficiency
- You may be required to transport pupils so you must be able to drive and have access to your own car
About the role
You will be contacted to work Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:45am - 4:45pm, term time only.
The role will include offering general classroom support as well as working 1:1 with students and leading small group interventions. You will be encouraging development of strategies for young people to manage behaviour, anger and frustration. It is essential you are maintaining an awareness of safeguarding and making this a priority, reporting all concerns promptly.
