Salary: Grade C (£24,790 pro rata for term-time hours)

About the Role
We are seeking a committed One-to-One Teaching Assistant to join our team in Barnstaple. In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored support to individual students, ensuring their learning, emotional, and developmental needs are met. This is a fixed-term contract role, offering 28.75 hours per week during term time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support for students with SEND, ensuring they can fully access their learning.
- Implement strategies outlined in the student’s EHCP to foster their development.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver a cohesive support plan.
- Encourage a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet the changing needs of the student.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in working with children with SEND, particularly those with EHCPs.
- From a Teaching Assistant or Care background, with transferable skills such as patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Empathetic, patient, and understanding, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to use their initiative and work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Passionate about supporting the individual learning needs of students.
