Position: Full-time, Permanent

TEXO Recruitment is seeking a Construction Contract Manager on behalf of our external client.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in contracts or project management
  • Proven track record in managing budgets, programmes, and H&S/QA compliance
  • Minimum of 2 years' management experience, including strategic project planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • CSCS Card
  • Full driving licence

Desirable:

  • SMSTS and CSCS Manager’s Card
  • Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 5 Management Qualification
  • First Aid, Risk Assessment, and Method Statement certifications
  • Experience with Power Project

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Oversight: Ensure all construction sites follow company processes and safety standards
  • Project Management: Oversee project progress, cost control, and direct labour/subcontractor management
  • Team Leadership: Supervise Project Managers, Senior Site Managers, and Engineers
  • Health & Safety: Develop and manage site safety and quality plans, conducting regular inspections
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work with local authorities, utilities, and regulatory bodies to meet project goals
  • Problem Resolution: Address construction issues with teams and subcontractors
  • Procurement: Manage procurement of labour, materials, and resources to meet project demands
  • Defect Management: Handle all defect issues promptly, ensuring the most cost-effective solutions
  • Maintenance: Monitor and close out any maintenance issues and review project performance
