ABOUT THE ROLE

Here at Prospero Teaching, we are looking for a SEND teaching assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Weston-Super-Mare. As a SEND teaching assistant, you will be working both one-on-one and as in group settings with students across EY, KS1 and KS2, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Experience working with young children is required for this role, but no formal qualifications are necessary. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and has a positive attitude towards learning. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life. You will be responsible for providing individualised support, building relationships with your student and their family, and working closely with the classroom teacher to create a supportive learning environment.

CONTRACT DETAILS

* Location - Weston-Super-Mare

* Position - SEND Teaching Assistant

* Type of work - Helping to oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy, child-friendly environment.

* Contract or position start date - ASAP

* Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing

* Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm)

* Full time/part time - Full time/Part time

* Minimum rate of pay -90 - 110 per day

* Hours Vary (working hours between 08:30 - 16:00)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Previous experiences with SEND requirements.

* Ability to support on a 1:1 basis and promote group learning.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

* Hold Right to Work in the UK

* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

* Provide two professional child related references
