Team Leader

Location: Weston Super Mare

Salary: £30 - 32k 

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; Friday, 7:30 am - 1:30 pm

Pay: Weekly, every Friday 

Overtime: Available

This is a great opportunity to work within a newly refurbished Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing environment.

We are looking for someone has operational and supervisory skills, and experience with employee responsibility, who can lead and facilitate business improvement projects with the support or their manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • An understanding of production assembly methods, process tools and techniques, specifically engine, transmission and final drive products;
  • Previous considerable experience in identifying trends, taking action to accommodate identified changes;
  • Strong motivational, coaching and training experience, assertively managing a team using modern operational processes;
  • Experience of working within auditable quality accreditation processes, e.g. TS16949;
  • Team Leader / Supervisory / Charge-hand or equivalent experience advantageous.
  • Experience of working as a practical 'Hands-on' semi-skilled production assembly line;
  • Experience of implementing practical business improvements at the front line / detail level.

  • A desire to improve things and to provide a good service to internal colleagues;
  • A willingness to take ownership for their own area and to help team members take responsibility for their area;
  • Proactive and logical in their approach;
  • A thorough and diligent manner, yet quick to get things done;
  • Level headed under pressure and able to maintain good judgement
  • Good communication skills to facilitate inter-departmental working and filter information to team/unit members;
