We are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Representative to join our client in Wetherby on a full time, permanent basis. The business centers on supplying materials to the construction industry. You will be the initial contact for customers who will benefit from your exceptional service.
You will be a hands on member of the team, not only providing confident advice and sales process but being involved in the many aspects of the running of a busy construction yard. Some of the work will be of a physical and manual nature. An environment where knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations are essential, issues must be reported to supervisors. Necessary training will be provided.
You will be expected to undertake the following tasks, amongst others:
- Handling yard sales enquiries
- Providing great customer service
- Providing knowledgeable information about products and services
- Upselling
- Working as part of a team
- Maintaining an organised workspace, ensuring that displays are tidy and well-stocked
- Preparing quotes and processing orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Preparing and packing orders as required
- Transport and loading/unloading of materials
- Operation of yard vehicles and machinery, including fork lift trucks.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Excellent communication
- Upselling ability whilst maintaining positive interactions with customers
- Good time management and the ability to multi task effectively
- Good organisational skills and inventory management
- Good standards of numeracy and literacy
- Good level of physical fitness
- CRM & and order processing knowledge
- Previous experience of working in the builder’s merchant/construction industry preferred
- Forklift truck license & experience essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year.
