Speech And Language Therapy

Join our specialist school for young people up to 19 years with special educational needs. We are seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Therapist to enhance our team of professionals committed to providing the best life chances for our students. Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan and deliver speech and language therapy sessions tailored to your caseload.
• Collaborate with other therapists, teachers, learning support assistants, and care staff to ensure comprehensive support.
• Monitor and report on pupils’ progress, providing valuable feedback to enhance educational outcomes.
• Offer recommendations and guidance to parents/carers, colleagues in school, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate case records in accordance with school policy and RCSLT guidelines.
• Stay updated with relevant clinical research to implement evidence-based practices.
• Participate in the supervision and training of SaLT students and contribute to whole school training sessions and meetings.
• Attend and contribute to annual reviews as directed and engage actively in the school community, supporting its ethos and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Speech & Language Therapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience in working with children or young adults with special educational needs is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to professional development and staying informed on the latest industry practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of empathy and dedication to student welfare.
