HR GeneralistDue to growth, my client is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join their team.    Based predominantly in Weybridge, you will also be looking after their office in Lowestoft, so you will be required to be there approx. 2/3 days every other week. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice, coaching/consulting on a variety of HR and business issues to business unit managers and employees. Builds organizational capability by coaching managers on strategies for performance enhancement.
  • Oversee the employee lifecycle including, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and talent management.
  • Responsible for implementing corporate HR initiatives and processes which may require balancing corporate goals with regional practices, goals and objectives. At the corporate HR level ensures that the business unit’s needs and challenges are represented and considered (ensuring that HR is directionally in step with the business unit’s strategy). 
  • Drive Employee Engagement activities including team building, social events and recognition activities are prominent and visible.
  • Support the HRBP and HR Director with other People & Culture related tasks and initiatives.
  • Support the Global Office and Employee Experience Director with the management of the Lowestoft and Norwich office facilities. Ensure facilities and amenities are maintained.

  • Problem solving - Frames complex ideas in useful ways and ask important questions.  Looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers.  Uses logic and methods to solve challenges effectively. 
  • Managing others – ensures team understands goals, objectives and individual roles; helps staff overcome obstacles towards achieving objectives; coaches, develops and provides support.  Leads by example.
  • Communication Skills – Clearly and concisely convey thought processes and information to Human Resources personnel and client group management.
  • Customer service oriented – Interprets information to anticipate business needs and to determine how best to support and contribute to the business. 
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
  • Proven experience in providing HR Advice across the Employee Lifecycle
  • Qualification/CIPD in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
  • Experience in providing HR Advice to diverse client group
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Excellent organization skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Credible understanding of the Company’s business drivers - how we make money, our customers and our market.
  • Have a driver's license with the ability to travel frequently between Lowestoft and Weybridge locations, including overnight stays.
