Legal Secretary / Paralegal - Full or Part/Time

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Secretary with a strong background in Probate and Family Law to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to solicitors and legal executives, ensuring the smooth running of cases and an exceptional level of client care.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Support

o Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, including wills, probate applications, court forms, and correspondence.

o Managing client files, ensuring they are accurately maintained, updated, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

o Preparing legal bundles, court filings, and supporting documentation for hearings and meetings.

  1. Client Liaison

o Acting as the first point of contact for clients, handling inquiries with sensitivity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

o Scheduling and coordinating client appointments, meetings, and calls.

o Keeping clients updated on the progress of their cases.

  1. Diary Management

o Managing the calendars of solicitors, including scheduling hearings, mediations, and appointments.

  1. Case Management

o Assisting with the preparation of probate and estate administration documentation, including inheritance tax forms and asset inventories.

o Supporting family law cases and coordinating with external parties

  1. General Office Duties

o Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.

o Managing billing, invoices, and time recording for client matters.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a legal secretary, preferably in probate and/or family law.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures in these practice areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with court filing processes and legal document formatting.
