Day-to-day of the role of an English Lecturer:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching to students 16+
  • Act as a personal tutor, promoting attendance and supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within the Construction department.
  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching standards and student outcomes within the college
  • Maintain course and learner records
  • To embed employment skills in to the curriculum courses

Required Skills & Qualifications for the English Lecturer:

  • A full teaching qualification or currently working towards one
  • Experience teaching in education degree in subject area
  • Relevant industry experience or qualifications in the field.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students
