We are seeking a Sports Lecturer with a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire our learners. The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with a strong technical background in computer science and a proven track record of motivating students.

Day-to-day of the role of a Sports Lecturer:
  • Teach on a range of courses including Level 1 Sport & Active Leisure, Level 2 Sport course, and Level 3 National Diploma in Sport, Fitness, and Personal Training.
  • Assess, review, and record learner progress and maintain accurate course and learner records.
  • Embed employment skills into the curriculum to enhance student employability.
  • Collaborate with the public services team to deliver comprehensive educational experiences.
  • Take a lead role in developing and expanding the sports department as the campus grows.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Sports Lecturer role:
  • Relevant professional qualifications at Level 4 or above.
  • Teaching qualification, with experience in further education highly advantageous.
  • Level 3 Assessor & Verifier Award, or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
  • Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
