We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team at Alex Road Flats, a specialist service providing essential care and support to people with complex health needs, including Epilepsy, Severe Learning Disabilities, and Mobility challenges. Alex Road Flats offers person-centered care for people residing in Willow View, Birch Loft, Oak Lodge, and Maple Lodge supporting them in leading fulfilling lives while maintaining their dignity and independence. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be instrumental in promoting the well-being and development of the people we support, helping them engage in a wide range of activities such as hydrotherapy, shopping trips, social events, and more

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Pay Scale: £12.79

About You:

You are a compassionate, team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. You may already hold or be working towards a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Above all, you are passionate about providing both emotional and practical support to those with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Management: Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth coordination within the team.
  • Health and Well-being: Ensure adherence to SALT guidelines and other care protocols, including support with medication, PEG feeding, mobility, and personal care.
  • Governance and Safeguarding: Manage service risks and adhere to safeguarding practices.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and support a competent care team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Compliance: Ensure regulatory requirements are met in all aspects of service provision.
  • Emotional Support: Respond effectively to the emotional and practical needs of the people we support.
