We have exciting opportunities available for an encouraging teacher to join our tuitions scheme across Whitby !

About the role:


Prospero Teaching works with local authorities and schools across Yorkshire to support students struggling with education. We aim to provide 1:1 catering towards the student's needs in order to promote learning and progression.


The tuitions are fully flexible and can be done online or face-to-face, you could also choose your schedule as we have tuitions taking place from 8 am to 7pm Monday to Friday!


We support students from Early years to Secondary school, you could let us know your preference for the key stages you would like to tutor


You could support students from as little as 2 hours per week up to 40 hours per week based on your availability


Some roles we have available:

  • YO21 : 6 hours per week - Year 11 student requires support with Math and English as well as some art as form of mentoring
  • YO18 : 6 hours per week - student in Year 10 requires support with Math and English
  • Online : 5 hours per week - student in Year 5 requires support with Math and English


The successful candidate will:

  • Have a thorough understanding of the core subject curriculum (you could support with the subject of your choice, typically this would be - Math, English, Science or Functional skills, etc)
  • Be able to create a positive and motivating work atmosphere to promote motivation and confidence .
  • Be accessible and able to establish a great rapport with students.
  • Be able to plan, prepare, and present lessons according to each student's requirements.
