Job Description
Were looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Technician to join one of our prestigious clients based in Whitchurch!
Youll be responsible for ensuring high food quality standards and consistency in production before products enter the market. Youll play a critical role in maintaining the exceptional reputation of the business, ensuring customer satisfaction and preventing defects.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What youll be doing
- Conduct tests to identify and address any defects with food products ensuring quality is maintained
- Management of supplier approval
- Execute mock recalls and traceability exercises
- Identify areas for process improvement
- Keep accurate records of testing and compliance procedures
- Train and mentor QA technicians
- Work closely with other departments to resolve any quality issues
- Ensure compliance with regulations at all times
- Perform internal audits of the Quality Management System
Hours
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Pay
£27,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Skills/Experience Required
- Previous QA experience in the food sector is essential
- Previous experience managing a team is essential
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards, testing methods, and industry regulations
- Experience in supplier management, product specifications, mock recalls, traceability, and internal auditing
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor a team
- HACCP level 3 preferred
- TACCP & VACCP preferred
- Food Safety Level 3 preferred
- A valid UK driving licence preferred
