Quality Process Engineer (Moulding)Salary: £40,000 - £45,000Location: Whitstable, KentHours: Monday - Thursday: 08:00am to 16:30pm, Friday 08:00am to 13:30pmBenefits: Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for professional developmentRole Purpose:Join us to champion outstanding quality and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. You will lead the integration of quality assurance throughout our production, significantly influencing our success by enhancing process control and initiating effective problem-solving strategies.Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead quality initiatives such as APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, and Process Flow Diagrams for new product launches.
  • Manage PPAP documentation and ensure compliance with customer specifications through ISIRs for new and adjusted moulded parts.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing processes, emphasizing defect reduction and process optimization to boost overall production efficiency.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve customer and production issues promptly, promoting a proactive quality culture.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in moulding (Can be taught on site)
  • Strong understanding of NPI, measurement tools, and manufacturing documentation.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with CREO or similar CAD software.
  • Familiarity with injection/compression moulding processes (Can be taught on site)
  • Knowledge of specific industry products or connectors is a plus.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all company and regulatory quality systems and procedures.
