  • Jigging/Racking
  • Spray painting
  • Shot Blasting
  • Handling hazardous chemicals
  • Surface Grinding
  • Metal Polishing/Finishing
Workshop Technician Tasks:
  • Carry out plating and finishing processes to company standards.
  • Identify and apply correct jigging methods for a range of parts or wiring/barrelling methods.
  • Handle chemicals safely in accordance with plating department procedures.
  • Use x-ray spectrometer and other quality monitoring equipment to measure plating thickness.
  • Visually inspect work to ensure matches quality agreement
Workshop Technician Ideal Experience:
  • Ability to read and follow detailed documentation.
  • Plating or finishing processes.
  • Safe handling practices for chemicals.
  • Proficiency in using quality monitoring equipment (e.g., x-ray spectrometer).
