A market leading manufacturing business is looking for skilled electroplaters or individuals with the desire and technical ability to develop this skillset.

Full training will be given, so candidates with previous manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.

This role will alternate weekly between day shifts (6am-2pm) and night shifts (Monday-Thursday 2pm-10.30pm and Friday 2pm-7.30pm)

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Reading and following all relevant documentation and carrying out various Plating and finishing processes to Company standards.
  • Following the Production Plan.
  • Using x-ray spectrometer and other quality monitoring equipment to measure plating thickness and carrying out visual inspection to Company quality standards.
  • Competently carrying out the roles of an Electroplater and Metal finisher.
  • Following correct procedures for safe handling of chemicals within the Plating department.
  • Keeping accurate quality records.
  • Identifying and carrying out the correct method of jigging for a range of parts and/or wiring / barrelling method.
  • Understanding and adhering to the department and Company Health and Safety rules and procedures.

Required knowledge, experience & skills

  • GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Maths Grade C or above
  • Engineering experience gained through school, college or university
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, manufacturing instructions, process instructions and specifications
  • Hardworking with the ability to always stay focused
  • Very high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks over long periods of time
