My client, an automotive company based in Droitwich, is looking to recruit a Fabricator/Welder on a permanent basis.
The main responsibilities of the role include
- must be able to MIG Weld/fabricate to a high standard (heavy up to 20mm gauge)
- work from and interpret detailed drawings
- have experience in; plasma cutting, oxy acetylene cutting and manual press brake operations.
- experience with hand tools (grinders & drills)
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following
- The ability to work on your own initiative and problem solve
- Adhere to PPE standards at all times
- Maintain a safe working environment, always keeping areas clear of debris and hazards and ensuring housekeeping standards are at an acceptable level, recognizing potential/actual hazards and taking corrective actions to minimize accidents.
- previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator
- Working with commercial vehicles (desirable)
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work well as part of a team and under your own initiative when required
- Well organized with excellent time management
- Demonstrate a desire for self-improvement and enthusiasm
- ability to interpret and work from drawings
The hours for this role are Mon-Fri (Apply online only) with overtime available, the pay-rate on offer is up to 16 an hour
