Our client, an established and highly respected provider of residential childcare, is seeking a Deputy Manager for their 4-bed EBD home in Widmerpool. This is an exciting opportunity for someone aspiring to move into a Registered Manager role, with a new home set to open in Grantham within the next 6–12 months.
 About the Role:As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, providing care for two young people currently in residence and helping to drive the home towards excellence. You will also have a genuine pathway to Registered Management as the organisation expands its portfolio.
 Key Responsibilities:-
Team Support:
- Assist the Registered Manager in leading, motivating, and developing the team.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to staff, ensuring high standards of care and professionalism.

Care Delivery:
- Oversee the care and support of young people, tailoring plans to meet their needs and aspirations.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the home complies with Ofsted and other regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to monitoring, auditing, and improvement plans for the service.

Operational Support:
- Help manage staffing, rotas, and resources to ensure the smooth running of the home.
- Step up to manage the home in the Registered Manager’s absence.

Development Opportunities:
- Prepare for future leadership by gaining experience and insight into the management of a new service.
- Play a key role in the setup and operation of the new Grantham home.
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker in a residential childcare setting.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); Level 5 in Leadership and Management is desirable or willingness to work towards it.
- Strong understanding of EBD and safeguarding principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A genuine ambition to progress to Registered Manager within 6–12 months.
