An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to work in the Manufacturing industry, providing invaluable support to the Accounting & Finance department of a reputable company based in Widnes.

Our client is a leading player in the Manufacturing industry with a Global presence.
Description
The main responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant are:
- Support the production of management accounts and year end reporting.
- Assist with VAT returns and analysis.
- Monitor outstanding debtors and creditors
- Assist with processing accruals and prepayments
- Process employee expenses.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the processing of purchase invoices ensuring any discrepancies are investigated and dealt with appropriately.
- Assist with the implementation of the new ERP system.
Profile
The successful Assistant Accountant will posses:
- AAT Level 4 qualification
- Actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA Qualification would be beneficial
- Ability to solve problems
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages.
