HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER
Initially a Monday-Friday rota with start time around 1400, some flexibility with start times required.
(The rota may potentially change to a Sunday to Thursday rota so flexibility around working days required)
Pay Rate: £16.60 PER HOUR

Day to Day Duties
- Driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently completing cage deliveries to Hospital Trusts, GP Surgeries and Care Homes
- Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting any faults to management
- Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
- Operating a tail lift
- Up to three trips per shift dependent on volume or route
- Expectation that empty cages are collected from every delivery point
- An element of load shifting required en-route
- Operating temperature controlled vehicles, with rules to follow on alarms and temperature ticket printing (training given)
- You will undergo driving training and assessment on day one
Essential Skills
- Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
- At least two year's experience driving Class 2 Vehicles
- At least two years experience will tail lift deliveries.
- Valid CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- No more than six points for MINOR infringements
- No major endorsements
- Must undergo a DBS Check
Desirable Experience
- Over two years Class 2 Driving experience.
What training is provided?
- Driver Assessment and Driving Training on day one
- Followed by one week of training with a full-time member of staff
