  • Operating a variety of chemical plant and equipment
  • following detailed process instructions and completion of process records
  • control / troubleshooting of multiple production processes
  • Includes simple in-process analytical testing
  • Involves regular manual handling of chemicals
  • Involves periodic decontamination of equipment for statutory inspections
  • Will be expected to undertake First Aid training
  • Will be expected to participate in the site Emergency Response team
  • Will be expected to participate in process and EHS improvements

Person Specification

  • NVQ2 or equivalent
  • Previous Loader/Operator experience preferably Shift worker
  • COMAH Experience advantageous
  • Basic numeracy and literacy essential
  • Basic computer skills advantageous
  • Counterbalance FLT licence advantageous
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous
  • Experience in the chemical industry is not vital but a manufacturing background would be advantageous
