Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am - 4:50 pm

Friday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client in Widnes. This is a full-time role with excellent benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger Management:

  • Handling all aspects of the purchase ledger using a fully automated system.
  • Receiving, authorising, and posting invoices to the relevant nominal accounts.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Processing two payment runs per month.

Credit Control:

  • Allocating and posting daily cash receipts.
  • Chasing overdue accounts and managing collections effectively.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Ordering office stationery supplies.
  • Occasionally booking overseas travel arrangements.
  • Weekly processing of clock cards.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email.
    • Familiarity with D365 or similar ERP systems (training provided).
  • Experience:
    • Strong credit control experience is highly desirable, with a willingness to learn purchase ledger responsibilities.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
