We are exclusively representing a specialist designer and manufacturer of bespoke materials handling systems, supplying a range of manufacturing and distribution clients around the UK

They pride themselves on speed of response and excellent customer service, winning significant repeat business on the back of providing a very quick turnaround and a superb quality product

Due to rapid growth, they are looking to recruit an accomplishedProject Managerwho will managebespoke sheet metal fabrication projectson behalf of a prestigious client base

Working cradle to grave on projects in close conjunction with the Commercial Director, the Project Manager will meet customers to discuss their requirements and offer technical solutions, work with the design team to provide quotations and drawings, lead and motivate the highly skilled workshop and fabrication team to ensure they are meeting/exceeding KPIs, liaise with subcontractors to ensure all outsourced processes are completed on time and to the correct quality and manage installations to ensure the job is completed on time and full and to the customers complete satisfaction.

Key skills

  • Time served/HNC/HND or degree qualified Engineer
  • Previous experience managing projects of varying size and value within asteel fabricationand engineering environment (manufacturing)
  • Previous hands on experience ideal, coming from a time served mechanical engineering background
  • Ability to own and manage customer projects from cradle to grave (survey/quotation through to installation)
  • Experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing setting structural steelwork, fabrication, materials handlingbackground highly advantageous
  • Understands the challenges presented in a manufacturing environment and can offer solutions to a diverse manufacturing client base
  • Engaging and inclusive people manager

Most importantly we seek a proactive Project Manager withexcellent prioritisation and time management skills, willing to go the extra mile to deliver excellent customer service, able to build rapport and relationships with customer contacts and win respect internally through effective people management and leading by example
