People Solutions are currently recruiting for a First Line Manager to join our well-established client based in Widnes.

You will have an important part to play as a First Line Manager managing the operation within your area of responsibility.

As one of our First Line Managers, you will have responsibility for your team’s performance as well as a keen eye for process improvements and spotting the best ways of reducing cost whilst delivering world class service and results.

You will work closely with your shift manager to deliver results together across your department.

Day to Day Duties

• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements• Ensure the operation achieves all daily, weekly and monthly targets and KPI's, resulting in high performance levels and the efficient and effective provision of a quality service to the customer• Manage a team of direct line reports including delivering team member performance review, development and/or succession planning as appropriate• Actively promote, take responsibility for embedding a culture of employee engagement within the team• Ensure compliance to Warehouse, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and safe systems of work• Utilise continuous improvement tools and techniques and support team members in their application

Essential Skills

• A commitment to self-development and team development• Awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards• Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service• Flexible and committed to achieving team/site objectives

Desirable Experience

• Experience of managing and leading a team• Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service• Good IT skills with skills in Microsoft Office and / or Google Suites
