Role: Chef Lecturer with Patisserie experience
Location: Merseyside/Cheshire
Rate: 33 per hour
Hours: Part time - Temporary
Eden Brown are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Chef Lecturer with a specialism in Patisserie to join a leading college in Cheshire/Merseyside area.
This is to start in January and will run until at least Easter, possibly longer.
About the Role:
As a Chef Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality practical and theoretical training to students studying in our state-of-the-art kitchens.
Your main focus will be on patisserie, ensuring students gain both the technical skills and creativity required to thrive in the culinary industry.
You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a hands-on learning environment, and assessing students progress.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in patisserie, ensuring a balance of theory and practical skills.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
* Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student creativity and success.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTTLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent), or have previous teaching/training experience
* Experience working as a chef or pastry chef, with a strong background in patisserie.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring students.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Please find the teaching hours below:
Tuesday 9.30 - 4.00pm - 6 hours
Wednesday 3.00- 9.00pm - 4 .5 hours
Thursday 12.30- 9.00pm - 8 hours
Fridays 9 - 1.30pm - 4.5 hours
There could be some movement in the time table for there to be just 1 evening.
A DBS is needed for this role. If you do not have a current DBS Eden Brown can apply for one on your behalf.
