Salary: Up to £38,000

Butler Rose are pleased to be working with our client, a well respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Auditors in Wigan and the surrounding areas.

The firm have been established for over 70 years, known for supporting the local community and servicing a wide range of clients across Wigan, Manchester and surrounding areas mostly.

They are now keen to appoint an Audit Senior to their team, working alongside the Audit Manager and other Audit Seniors to complete audits for their clients, mostly across Wigan, Manchester and Skelmersdale areas.

The Role:

  • Primarily an audit-focused role, but would consider a mixed role of audit and accounts if this is preference. (approx. 75% audit, 25% accounts).
  • Clients mostly based around Wigan, Skelmersdale, and Manchester - minimal travel required.
  • Work independently on audits, handling most of the process yourself before final review.
  • Ideal for someone with strong audit experience but not yet ready for a manager-level role.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years' experience working within audit, confident in taking on full audits or key sections.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently complete the majority of an audit before final review.
  • Confident in taking a team on-site to complete an audit.
  • Looking for long-term stability, with progression opportunities in 18-24 months.
  • Able to support junior members of staff with reviewing work etc.
