I am currently recruiting for a long established SME based on the outskirts of Wigan. They are looking for a full time on site Book-keeper to join their small and friendly team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the company accounts and all liaison with the off site Accountants.

£28,000 - £32,000 per annum on site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliations for 2 bank accounts
  • Maintaining the company sales and purchase ledgers
  • Producing all company invoices
  • Daily credit control and cash forecasting
  • Producing weekly payment runs
  • Inter company Transactions
  • Supporting Directors with project work
  • Payroll for 26 employees - Weekly and Monthly
  • HMRC - balancing and payments
  • CIS payments
  • Producing monthly VAT returns
  • Monthly management accounts and reports
  • Supervising one member of staff
  • Journal entries and corrections, balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss reports

Required Skills / Experience

  • Recent hands on experience within a work placement working with sage line 50 or Xero
  • Previous accounts experience within an SME or owner managed business
  • Able to work on your own initiative and prioritise work
