I am currently recruiting for a long established SME based on the outskirts of Wigan. They are looking for a full time on site Book-keeper to join their small and friendly team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the company accounts and all liaison with the off site Accountants.
28,000 - 32,000 per annum on site
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank reconciliations for 2 bank accounts
- Maintaining the company sales and purchase ledgers
- Producing all company invoices
- Daily credit control and cash forecasting
- Producing weekly payment runs
- Inter company Transactions
- Supporting Directors with project work
- Payroll for 26 employees - Weekly and Monthly
- HMRC - balancing and payments
- CIS payments
- Producing monthly VAT returns
- Monthly management accounts and reports
- Supervising one member of staff
- Journal entries and corrections, balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss reports
Required Skills / Experience
- Recent hands on experience within a work placement working with sage line 50 or Xero
- Previous accounts experience within an SME or owner managed business
- Able to work on your own initiative and prioritise work
