Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure, Azure, O365, Windows Server, Intune, WAN/LAN, VMware, Hyper-V, MSP, Managed Services) Permanent Wigan

Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for our fast growing business based in Wigan.

This company is looking to expand over the next 12 months, with this role being crucial in order to do that. There is significant career progression opportunities within this role, in addition there is funding available for Microsoft training and certifications each year.

Location: Wigan

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is vital, this person needs to hit the ground running
  • Extensive O365 experience
  • Strong Windows Server support and instillation experience
  • Virtualization, either VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • Intune and ideally SharePoint Online
  • Network troubleshooting around LAN/WAN and Vlan
  • Previous experience of working within an MSP is highly desirable, however if you have worked in a high pressure fast paced environment, you will still be considered

Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Engineer

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Responding to and resolving customer issues through our ticketing system, phone, and email, including complex and escalated tickets from a 3rd Line level
  • Providing support and knowledge transfer to Service Desk Engineers
  • Adhering to current SLAs and KPIs
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting complex alerts to prevent repeated customer downtime
  • Handling ongoing migration projects, making sure that communication is clear to customers
  • Providing onsite support on an ad hoc basis, all customers are within the North West region.
  • Keeping up to date with current industry and technology trends
  • Assisting in the tracking and recording of the companies infrastructure assets to ensure that infrastructure and data is kept secure at all times
