I am pleased to be working with one of the UK's leading suppliers of utility systems and solutions, as they require a dynamic and forward-thinking Service Administrator to join their team in Wigan. This is a full-time, permanent position and is based in Wigan.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our customers and engineers. This challenging role requires managing demanding clients, breakdowns, and emergencies across the UK. The successful candidate will be focused on ensuring timely fulfilment of customer needs and constantly improving the level of customer service provided.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Field incoming service requests and technical queries via telephone and email.
  • Schedule engineer attendance and communicate effectively with customers, managing a large scope of works and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with engineers to confirm workload, issue reports, and check parts/stock, as well as confirm jobs are completed and closed.
  • Provide service support by checking engineer reports before issuing to customers, preparing quotations for remedial works, completing sales orders for prompt invoicing, and creating proforma invoices to obtain payment.
  • Arrange for components to be sent to engineers/sub-contractors and assist in managing returned items.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a service advisor/sales administrator role or similar customer-facing position.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to schedule and prioritise workloads.
  • Competency in preparing quotations, sales orders, and proforma invoices.
