If so, we want to hear from you! We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Nursery Assistants to work in primary schools and nurseries across Wigan, with immediate start dates available. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in different educational settings, supporting children's learning and development while enjoying the flexibility of choosing your own working days. Whether you are looking for day-to-day assignments, short-term cover, or long-term placements, we have options to suit your needs.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide in-class support for either the whole class, identified individual students or small groups of students (e.g. 4-5 students).
  • Under the direction of a class teacher, SENCO, to develop and lead small group work.
  • To assist in delivering and producing teaching and learning materials for students, including differentiating the materials.
  • To provide regular feedback to the class teacher and to the SENDCo or the relevant line manager.
  • To support the teacher with setting up the class including the daily activities, ensuring that continuous provision is available, display boards, managing pupil journals and work books etc.

Essential requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (L2/3 TA etc.)
  • High knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Classroom experience.
  • Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
