Your new companyHere at Hays Education, we support a number of schools across Wigan and surrounding areas who educate and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.We have a few schools in particular who are looking to recruit 1:1 Teaching Assistants to come in and support their pupils with SEN with their learning whilst in school from January. These roles are a mixture of full and part-time roles and could also involve general TA duties. Both roles are will be continuing until Easter and will be extended providing things go well.Your new roleIn your new role, you will need to support the child/children with their learning and development, and deliver personalised learning, based on the child's needs and abilities. You should have good behaviour management skills and be able to tailor your approach to the individual needs of the child. You will be responsible for providing these pupils with a safe and supportive environment and push them to reach their potential. This role will be working within KS1 and you will be responsible for providing assistance in 1:1 and group setting depending on the needs of the child.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children and ideally previously experience supporting SEN children. Even if you have limited experience, we want to hear from you. You should feel confident working with children in a 1:1 setting as well as being friendly and enthusiastic.
