Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our lovely village primary school in Wrightington, where you will make a positive impact on a pupil with verbal difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with verbal communication difficulties
  • Assist with communication strategies and help the pupil access the curriculum
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where the pupil feels supported and valued
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
  • Promote independence, confidence, and social interaction for the pupil
  • Support the pupil in other areas such as play, personal care, and social development when required

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience or understanding of supporting children with verbal difficulties (desirable but not essential)
  • Be patient, caring, and empathetic with excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet the pupil's specific needs
  • Be a team player who is eager to contribute to a positive school environment
