Your new companyHays are currently working with a primary school in the Wigan area to help them secure a Teaching Assistant to start after February half-term on a long-term basis - potentially permanent for the right candidate. This schools' aim is to ensure that our pupils are safe, happy and ready to learn, with children and families at the heart of what they do.Your new roleYou will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the classes across KS1 and KS2, supporting the class teacher. You will need to work on a 1:1 and group basis, providing additional support to children through intervention sessions including reading, writing and phonics. You will need to hold strong knowledge of the primary curriculum in order to support the children academically. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
