Job Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the maintenance, servicing, and repair of all equipment, supporting the continuity of manufacturing operations and ensuring the safety of production personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain plant, equipment, and utilities across the site.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Complete routine PPM work and document tasks accurately.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Utilize CMMS (SAP) for maintenance activities.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S methodology).
  • Promote and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support during production breakdowns.
  • Keep up to date with plant processes and technical advancements.
  • Assist shift supervision teams with guidance and technical expertise.
  • Act as an Authorised Person (AP) for emergency situations, including high voltage incidents.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Apprentice trained or equivalent in an Electrical engineering discipline.
  • Competency in both electrical and mechanical tasks.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematic instructions.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs such as Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Ideally you will have a High Voltage qualification.
