Tradewind are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client secondary schools on the Wigan who are seeking a Computer Science Teacher for a long-term position starting on Monday 6th January. This post will continue until July 2025 covering a vacant position and could lead to a permanent position. Our client school are seeking a Computer Science Teacher to teach across KS3 and KS4.

The successful Computer Science Teacher will be joining a department whose intent is to provide a high quality computing education for students to use Computational Thinking and Creativity to understand the emerging world. In Computer Science our client aspires to enrich students with a varied and deep understanding of computing developments, concepts and the impact of technology on our society and environment. At KS4, the school follow the OCR Computer Science curriculum.

Pay for this position is up to £223.62 per day, depending on experience.

To be considered for this Computer Science Teacher position based in Wigan the essentials are:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Computer Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Full enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
