Purpose of the Job: The Heat Pump Engineer is a critical role responsible for supervising the safe installation of air source heat pumps to the highest standards. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a strong background in renewable energy technologies and project management.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Installation: Carry out various aspects of installation, testing, inspection and commissioning of air source heat pump installs, ensuring a high quality is maintained at all times as and when required.

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out maintenance and repairs on installed air source heat pumps as required.

  • Customer Support and Handover: Provide customer support and interaction during installs. Provide customer handover which includes product demonstration and guidance on the usage and maintenance of the air source heat pump.

  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

  • Productivity: Work efficiently to meet performance and service level targets.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.

  • Back Office Systems: Have knowledge of back-office systems and processes, as well as the company features that are offered.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Award in Air Source Heat Pump Systems (non-refrigerant Circuits)

  • BPEC G3 Unvented Hot Water

  • Water Regulations (WRAS)

  • CSCS is desirable

Experience:

  • Proven experience in installing and commissioning air source heat pump systems.

  • Experience in servicing and maintaining heat pump installations.

  • Strong knowledge of air source heat pump systems and controls.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.

  • Strong technical expertise in renewable energy technologies.

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and heat pump plans.

Other Requirements:

  • No unspent criminal convictions; must pass a basic criminal record check.

  • Proven eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Ability to provide suitable references covering the previous five years.

  • Willingness to travel and work at different locations as required.
