Your new companyAs a supply teacher, you will be working through Hays Education, who will provide you with a variety of supply primary teacher jobs in Wigan and the surrounding areas. The variety of jobs we offer range from long-term to short-term positions and can be for as many days a week as you require. You will be required to cover lessons that have been left absent by the class teacher.Your new roleAs a supply teacher, you will be working with a variety of primary schools in Wigan. The primary teacher roles we offer will require you to have previous, recent experience within a primary school and require you to be comfortable teaching in new classrooms on a regular basis. We can offer you day-to-day positions which are short-term contracts or long-term positions which can last more than 4 weeks. In day-to-day positions you will be required to deliver pre-planned lessons, but in short and long-term roles you may be expected to plan the work and lessons. What you'll need to succeedAs a successful primary teacher, you will need to have strong behaviour management skills and be able to follow and implement classroom activities. You must have a strong knowledge of the school curriculum and be able to deliver it successfully. Time-keeping skills are crucial when you are working as a supply teacher.You must hold Qualified Teacher Status obtained in the UK.
