Your new companySince the return from half-term, Hays Education have been inundated with Teaching Assistant roles to start immediately in primary schools across Wigan. These roles are on a temporary and long-term basis, with the potential for these roles to be permanent for the right candidate. These schools are mainstream schools, and they do have some SEN needs within their classes, this is across both KS1 and KS2.These schools are looking for someone to provide general support in the classroom, as well as being supported by a dedicated team of staff and the class teacher.Your new roleYou will be responsible for providing support and assistance to different classroom teachers with the delivery of curriculum, as well as supporting the pupils in both group and 1:1 settings across the KS1 and KS2 year groups. You will be required to hold interventions for maths, reading, writing and phonics, so it would be beneficial if you have experience with these. Some of these schools will include SEN pupils, so any experience here would be beneficial. We will always strive to meet your requirements and assign you to the particular year group of your choice however, you may be expected to move round within the school, so being flexible would be a key skill.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an education setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you can jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
